From atmospheric pads to the most unique and exciting sounds you can imagine, granular synthesis opens a whole new world of sonic possibilities. In this course, by synth expert Rishabh Rajan, you learn everything you need to master the Grain Sample Manipulator synth. Listen closely, because this synth is truly amazing... and a lot of fun!

Rishabh starts with an overview of the user interface, where you discover how the instrument is laid out. Next, you learn how to load samples, how to set up the root key, and how the different playback modes work. In the next section, Rishabh explains the differences between the four playback algorithms: Tape, Long Grains, Grain Oscillator, and Spectral Grains. Continuing with the course, you also get a solid understanding of the oscillator, filter, amp, modulation, and effect sections. The course concludes by putting everything you learned together in an otherworldly sound design workshop!
