The latest design from MIDI specialists Retrokits is a USB MIDI host and interface that is intelligently able to convert different MIDI formats on the fly and connect all kinds of devices.
New from MIDI accessory designer Retrokits is the RK005 - a USB MIDI host and interface that you can plug into an iPad to work as an interface but also plugged into power works in standalone mode when you can connect multiple USB MIDI devices. Remarkably it also is apparently able to convert between MIDI data types - CC to SysEx for example, by auto-sensing the type of data it's recieving and the devices it's sending to. Here's an explanation of what it can do.
Full specs are yet to be released and pricing is TBC. The release is expected at the end of the summer and you can keep an eye on https://www.retrokits.com for more news as it becomes available.
