The music of Stranger Things is so recognizable and helped it capture the imagination of young and old viewers. The composers of Stranger Things talk about how they scored the music for the hit show.

In this video interview with Vanity Fair, the composers of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things, Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, break down the music of the show. Kyle and Michael talk about how they were approached by the Duffer Brothers to score the show, the biggest influences on their music, and the differences between the music of Stranger Things season one and season two.

The music behind Stranger Things is arguably what helped the show stand out from the crowd when it first hit TV and computer screens. It has helped lead the 80s synthwave revivial in the TV and film industry.

In the studio you can spot a number of classic hardware synths from Moog and Roland, modular synths and a laptop running Logic Pro X.
