If this was an app or update direct from Roland for their recently released SE-02 analog synthesizer we'd be waxing lyrical about how cool it is and how the SE-02 can now be fully integrated into a software-based DAW setup.
The tireless work of Momo Müller in creating a number of software MIDI editors for hardware synths, including the SE-02, we think should be equally acknowledged and appreciated. Having released standalone and plugin editors for SH-01A, JP-08, JU-06, and Korg synths too, it was only natural he should turn his attention to the excellent SE-02. Here's what this €5,90 (yes, that's 5 Euros and 90 cents) MIDI editor can help you do with the SE-02.
The "SE-02 Midi Controller / Editor". The controller for the Roland Boutique Synth SE-02. It is possible as VST and Standalone for PC 32/64 Bit and Mac as VST, AU and Standalone. The "SE-02“ parameters can be automated, they can also be stored in your Project. You can save your sound on the SE-02 Synth or as VST Presets (..fxp) in the DAW.
The editor gives you access to the controller on the SE-02 interface, and also direct access to hidden parameters. And that X-Y Pad? You can use it to select and control any of the hardware controls.
