64-bit Mix Processing In Cubase 9.5 For Superior Sound
Hollin Jones on Mon, December 18th 0 comments
The new 64-bit mix processing engine in Cubase 9.5 delivers more sonically accurate results than ever before. Matt Hepworth explains exactly how it works.

Although Cubase 9.5 brings some obvious changes - in its workflow, design and the plug-ins that you get with it - there have also been significant improvements under the hood. The biggest of these is 64-bit mix processing, and it's going to improve the sound of your tracks. In this video from the course Cubase 9.5 101: Cubase 9.5 Explored, Matt Hepworth explains just how it works, what's new, and what 64-bit means for your productions.

Matt clears up some of the confusion that can surround the 32/64-bit issue, explaining that it's all about the precision with which the mixing engine performs its calculations. You'll see how to set Cubase up quickly to use 64-bit precision, and why it results in less digital "fog" so you can get cleaner and clearer recordings and a broader soundstage. Be sure to check out the other videos in this course for the lowdown on everything that's new and improved in Cubase 9.5.
