Up And Running With Logic Pro X - Understanding The Project Chooser
Hollin Jones on Sun, May 20th 0 comments
Logic's project chooser is where you can access templates - either Logic's or your own - to get up and running right away. Booker Edwards Jr shows you how it works.

Logic Pro X is an incredibly powerful Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) but with great power comes something of a learning curve if you are new to the world of digital music-making. Knowing where to begin can seem daunting until you have a little experience under your belt. Luckily, Booker Edwards Jr is here with a brand new course covering the essential core Logic skills and techniques you will need to know to get up and running.

Logic Pro X 101: Essential Beginners Guide

In this short video from the course Logic Pro X 101: Essential Beginners Guide, Booker explains how to use Logic's Project Chooser to quickly set up a new project containing some important settings already dialled in.

As well as seeing how to choose genre-themed projects, you'll also see how to view and open recent projects and demo projects. Booker also explains that Logic lets you create your own templates so that you can quickly call up customised projects - say for example with all your favourite vocal plugin chains and software instruments all ready to go. This means much less time spent creating and populating tracks, and more time getting straight on with making music! Finally in this tutorial, you'll see how to expand the Details section to make fine tuned tweaks to the behaviour and settings of a project. Be sure to check out the rest of the videos in this course to learn everything you need to know about Logic Pro X!
