Having used FCP7 for years on my old Mac Pro, I decided to buy FCPX for my new MBP. I did this on the same day that I had a job come in that I had to turn around in a week. This was a three-camera shoot with several mics (a school musical). Anyway, suffice to say that I was very glad that I had a Mac Pro Video Pro Account because I was able to dip in and out of all Michael Wohl's tutorials and find out just what I needed to know to get up and running.
I'm a massive fan of Michael's work. He makes you feel like he's made the tutorial just for you - that's a real skill for an on-line tutor. He cuts to the chase quickly without a load of waffle but he is thorough nonetheless. I would definitely recommend this and all the other FCPX tutorials whether you're a seasoned pro or an outright beginner.
I'm now in the process of going through all the tutorials in order and I'm loving every minute. Well done Michael and thank you!

What I like in this tutorial most, is the way it was brought to viewer. "Simplicity is the key to success"

Very clear and precise instruction. loved the short vids. Real world analogies were helpful in understanding what situations you would use certain tools.

Very well presented and makes you quickly absorb the information. This particular course although being just introductory could very well be all you need to get you started in FCP X due to the simplicity of the new interface designed by Apple. Can a tutorial get any better?!?
NM i found an A to my Q in this Q&A, the A is no, I am actually attempting to learn more than just final cut from this guy, i'm trying to pay attention on the details of presentation this man is using. IDK why or how, but these tutorials are far superior to ANY tutorials I have ever seen. Clear, precise, information packed... and yet in a way i feel in no time at all i just understood years worth of trial and errors I tended to arrive at by watching random material through youtube. These tutorials are so far on another level comparatively speaking to other methods of gaining necessary information regarding software such as Final Cut, Logic, etc.
The sheer methodology this Final Cut X guy uses is in and of itself worthy of any price if you are video editing a howto tutorial. Regardless of what the tutorial was about.

Who needs an interface review? Who needs to throw and catch a baseball EVERY SINGLE SPRING to earn their 22.4 million dollar pro-salary? So this (re)orientation is necessary for newbies, but very worthy for advanced and master users. We get into our own editing habits and one or two things that can be learned to "remind" us of what we might do to improve productivity make this a 39 minute value. I watched it while working on other projects and a dozen times or more stopped what I was doing to concentrate on every detail. Now I have the right to dig in deeper... here goes!
