Tempo Problems and other Newbie-Questions
Hello I own since few days Ableton Live 8.3. I'm very happy with it! Is it normal that in Live there is a reduced number of "Scales" and "Chords" in the "Midi Effects" folder instead of Live Suite? It's awesome, in Library > Application Support > Ableton > Library > Presets > Instruments > appears for example: "Analog, Collision, Electric, Impulse, etc....., but i can not see them and select and use them in Live? Is this normal? And i have problems with Tempo. Loops run out of time! How to fix this? The "Click" is not in sync with (for example) the beat-Loop or Tracks. Thanx for your answers. Best regards

Hey Mitch, I'm glad you are enjoying the program! You will certainly have more tools if you upgrade to the suite. However, you can modify the existing presets to suit your needs as well. Just to be sure, what version did you purchase? The next question I have for you is whether or not your loops are audio or midi loops. Did you create your own loops? Also, could you clarify what you mean by loops running out of time? Try double clicking the clip and then, at the bottom of your screen, look for the "warp" button to see if it is turned on. That may fix your problem. You also need to make sure that the "loop" button is turned on as well. Let me know how things go for you and good luck making music!!! Cheers, Steve
