Hey Gurus! I have a couple of questions regarding the routing of click tracks, rewiring logic pro 9 and ableton 9, and system requirements to run both programs simultaneously. I'm preparing for a concert series that I will be giving in the spring, which will consist of a fusion of live and electronic instrumentation. Here's a quick rundown of my current setup that I will be using for these concerts. - MacBook Pro (mid 2010) - 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3, OS X 18.8.5 - Ableton Live 9 Suite - Ableton Push - Logic Pro 9 - Akai mini 25 key - Yamaha Motif Rack XS connected to a Yamaha KX88 controller - Roland Juno-D - Saffire Pro 14 Here are a couple of my current questions: 1) How would I route a click track to a live drummer so that he/she could be in sync with the master clock without having it audible to the audience? - At this point in time I'm looking to rewire Ableton into Logic so that I can use the Push and my other controllers simultaneously, but on separate MIDI channels in order to have multiple instruments at my fingertips. 2) If I were to run both Ableton Live and Logic Pro in conjunction with each other, what would be the optimal system requirements in order for EVERY piece of equipment to run smoothly? - I will be running my Akai Mini as a trigger controller for iZotope Stutter Edit in conjunction with the Roland Juno as a controller for software synths in logic. I will be using the Motif as a standalone instrument rather. 3) When I rewire Ableton into Logic will the Push still control Live as though it was a standalone DAW? - This is a recent idea that I would like to implement into my set because I believe it would allow me to have more control over all of my instruments, samples, sequences, and effects. Any and all help is appreciated. Also - I welcome any better ideas for optimization, new gear that would make this project easier, or just thoughts regarding anything I mentioned above.
