Greetings, Although I am currently using Studio V4, I am awaiting an upgrade to the full version of 6. However, I'm concerned I am going to have the same issue. I am using a Mackie Onyx 1620 board which has a built-in sound card which connects to my mac via firewire, Although I have 18 inputs (don't ask me why it provides 18 outputs for a 16 channel board, but there must be a reason). unfortunately it provides only 2 outputs (stereo left/right). Supposing I wish to lay a dry track of something then send it to an outboard piece of hardware and make another recording of the track with whatever I sent it through. The only ways I an think of accomplishing this is either (a) mute all tracks other than the one I wish to process via the outboard gear, then connect the stereo output(s) to the input of the outboard gear with the output of that gear fed into an input on the board then to a new track. But if I do that I cannot monitor the mix, and have little knowledge of what is really happening until I play it all back. Another way I thought of is to pan all tracks to one of the two outputs and feed the other output into the external hardware. I tried the latter but I seem to be getting "leakage" from the other tracks even though I've panned then to the other output. Does anyone have suggestion of a more efficient way to resolve this issue? Thanks Fred

Hey Fred, I'm not as familiar with Cubase as I'd like to be, but it might be possible to set up your Onyx and your built-in audio of your Mac as an aggregate device (which combines the inputs and outputs of both devices). This works great in Logic and Garageband with many audio interfaces and assume it should work in a similar way with the onyx and Cubase.
