My buddy sent me a stereo audio file of him singing (panned full left) and playing acoustic guitar (panned full right). Is there a way to split this stereo file into two separate mono files? I do have some audio editing software (Audacity and Soundtrack Pro 2) as well if that's a better route to take. thanks, Tom

Make two copies of your file (one for the left channel and the other for the right channel) and import them in Soundtrack Pro. Double click on the track and use the "Convert to mono" function in the "process" menu. Select "Use the left channel" the first time and click on "Use the right channel" on the other file.
