Hi Anyone know how to copy automation along a track... So that you don't have to create automation for the whole song.... If you copy a part like guitar and paste it along the track for the rest of the song... The automation for that part does not get copied ... So painstakingly have to create automation for the whole track yuk!! Unless there's an easier way ... Would be most grateful to know... Turning on automation lock ..allows you to move a part with its own automation ... .....anyone????

Hi mpvuser2013 and welcome to the forums! Go to Logic > Preferences >Automation and select "Ask" or "Always" under "Move Automation with Region". If you select "Ask", Logic will ask you if you want to copy the automation data when you move or copy a region... If you select "Always", it will always copy the automation data. Hi sorry I forgot to say not "logic" but garageband ... In garageband you only have the lock to region curve or something like that... Reply back ...

Oh yes it's possible to do this in GarageBand... Go to [b]Control > Lock Automation to Regions[/b] The control points will be copied... Cheers! :)
