Hi is it possible to upgrade from my logic pro 7.1 to logic studio 9 using the $199 upgrade .? I have an old imac G5 power pc with the logic 7.1 on but have recently aquired a mac pro quad 3 ghz and i want the cheapest route to getting logic studio 9..I've been told by the Apple Store that i have to buy the full $499 logic studio..Please help ..cheers Stevepig

Hi Steve, No that's not correct info from the Apple Store employee(s). The Logic Studio Upgrade: [url]http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB798Z/A[/url] definitely allows you to upgrade from Logic Pro 7 and Logic Pro 8 (Logic Studio). You must have your Logic 7 dongle and/or serial number. Aside from that you'll be fine upgrading this way! Best Rounik

Hi Steve, No need to install Logic 7. Simply insert the dongle or use the Serial number that comes with Logic 7 when the L9 installation asks you for that info. Cheers Rounik
