    transposition in audio
hi, my brother recorded an acoustic guitar track via condenser mics and the audio track. Is it possible to transpose this audio track as it's a little too high to sing to at the moment? soundscout

Monophonic things like a solo line are pretty easy to transpose, using the new flex pitch feature. Polyphonic things, I don't think you're going to get as good results. But as long as it's for practice purposes, might be worth a shot to try it. Not sure if Pitch Flex can handle polyphonic material or not, never tried and haven't seen anything on it. Melodyne purportedly can, but again, I've never tried it myself. As a simple make-shift solution, you might try instantiating a pitch shift plugin onto the track. Again, not sure how well that plugin works with polyphonic material, but it's worth a shot. I doubt the results would be good enough to use in a final mix, but for practice purposes, it might work.
