Hi in section 23 of Jim Dalrymple's excellent 105 Creating Guitar Rigs he goes to the File menu to access Import Layout. my version 2.1.1 doesn't have that item on the File menu, nor can I find it anywhere else, nore does it help in the 'Help' ; what to do?

Hi Chalky, In Mainstage 2.1.1 this option has been moved. Go to the 'Layout' Mode/window. In the top right of the Window is the Gear icon with a downward pointing arrow. Click on this arrow to show a drop down options menu. From here you can import and export layers. :) Rounik btw, I'm moving your thread from the General forum to the Mainstage forum :)
