Hi all, I have been in a fix regarding these three audio interfaces.My requirement at the moment would be just one track recording at home.But since all three of them have a nearing price range.I am in a fix.Since apogee has a fewer no. of in's and out's though but i read reviews saying the pre amps are powerfull. But since this is a one time investment i was wondering which one to go for. Is there actually such a big difference in the pre amps of the two cards.....

I'd say go for the Apogee Duet. The preamps are a better quality and it integrates seamlessly with the Mac OS. And the design of the Duet is much better. If you think you may need more inputs or outputs in the future, then the MOTU will be a better bet.

agreed with Gary, I have been using duet since 2008. It's just simply awesome. I upgraded to Duet USB. The sound is amazing even with my cheap dynamic mic (shure sm7b). The only problem you might encounter with a duet is that sometimes when you hot plug it in (with logic closed), it's not recognized, but just unplug it and plug it back in (or try a different usb port), then it should work again. hope this helps. just noticed it's like 7 months ago, oh well. :-)
