    Garageband Track Static Track Volume?
Hello mates, I have been using garageband for years now and have recorded many demo-albums. But it wasn't until today that I wondered if there is any setting that will make a real instrument (or software track) have a static volume. I thought of this because my bass amp's lows are so much louder than the highs, no matter what I do (it's an old Peavey TKO 75). Because of this I have to adjust the volume pan every time I switch from a high note to a low note... So in all: Is there a way to make a track in garageband have the same volume throughout the song?

Hi greenups, You can use a compressor to help even out the volume level on one track. e.g. a bass where the quiet parts were played a little too quietly... Take a look in the effects area of GarageBand for a compressor. Also a limiter can be used to prevent (or limit) the volume level from exceeding a set point. This is often used on the master channel to keep the output signal from clipping. :) Rounik
