System Overload Disk too slow??
Jul 3rd, 2013, 02:44
I recently opened a project from another producer that contains 23 audio tracks with no processing or plug-ins on any of the tracks. It was working fine the other day. The disk performance meter was well within the safety zone. In fact it was at about 10 to 15 percent in regular pulses. Today I played the project back and I am getting the "Disk too slow/disk play-head sudden movement sensor may have been activated or something like that. I then remembered that I have a Mac Pro Video project called Day Dreamer from confessions of a drum and bass producer. I have several versions of this project saved. (project file backups). I opened one of the project file back-ups on daydreamer and I had the same problem. I then picked another project file back-p for Day Dreamer and it worked fine! everything was absolutely normal. I did a permissions repair and still no luck.
The audio files are in mp3 format but that's not the issue as it was once working and now it's not. And I also have one daydreamer project that works fine and another that doesn't, both in mp3 format.
