    Fast triplets
I want to have a fast triplet snare drum in my 4/4 logic song. This would be 9 drum hits for every 1 beat in a bar so I'd need the resolution to be 36 to a bar. Logic is only offering me 4,8,16,32,48,64,96,192. If the time signature of the song was in triple time, it would probably work, I guess but that would mess everything else up. It's not possible to have common time and triple time happening simultaneously? Interestingly, Wynton Marsalis uses rhythms like these on occasion. A bit off the beaten track, I know, but is there a glimmer of hope? :) Tim

    Re: Fast triplets
I find it's easier to work in the Piano Roll Editor for programming in triplets. Set your Resolution to /32 in the project and then open up the Piano Roll editor and choose a Time Quantize for triplets (for example 1/32 triplet (1/48). Now when you program in the MIDI it lock to the triplet grid. Or you can select your MIDI notes and quantise them with this setting to give them a triplet feel. Hope this helps.
