I recently noticed that the ringtone volume does not decrease when I hold my phone. I don't know if this issue persists since installing iOS12. It rings at the same volume the entire time. Anyone else having the same problem?

As far as I can determine, this may be related to a Face ID setting "Attention Aware Features" -- it sounds like it's off, if you turn it on that may restore the behavior you're looking for. This Apple Help page mentions it.. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208245
