I have moved the samples located in the system drive MacintoshHD/Users/Shared folder to an external drive but kept the instrument files in the system drive. However, I have noticed additional samples and instruments located in the MacintoshHD/Library/ApplicationSupport folder that appear in some cases to be duplicates of the same instrument and samples. The MacintoshHD/Library/ApplicationSupport folder also has the other folders such as script, presets etc... and know those need to stay. The only thing I would like to do is keep all the samples on one drive location and the instruments in one drive location. Would there be a problem in moving the samples and instruments from the varied locations to just one location? So far there hasn't been a problem with the shared folder but got confused when seeing the duplicate files in the other folders and was reluctant to begin moving those without some kind of feedback. I wanted to post about the most fantastic customer service I received from Wave DNA. This company rocks! The answer to my questions were almost immediate, but to even add icing to the cake. Allison forwarded my email to technical support. They unexpectedly responded to a statement I made about multi-output plug-in mode and provided step by step instructions. It was such a welcome surprise to get that information from them, such a degree of professionalism. I was always taught by my father in doing service work to customer's homes, you always leave the place cleaner than you found it. I have an external 1.5 terabyte Glypth hard drive that's connected via firewire 800 which holds all my samples, and a 2 terabyte external G-drive also firewire 800 that is used for audio projects. Both of these drives are 7800 rpm. The read write speeds on both drives are hovering around 60 and 70MB/s which seems really slow. I don't have a comparison because I never checked them in the past. I have 3 internal drives on the Mac Pro 2010, one is used for backup time machine that reads and writes at 160 to 170MB/s, however the other two seem really slow at approx. 40MB/s. Problems have gradually increased for some time now while using Logic Pro 9 and X with errors about drives to slow or unable to load and higher CPU usage than I think there should be. I read both articles about hard drives Raid 0 etc... but am still confused as to what a decent speed should be on a Mac Pro Quad 2010 model. The articles are what made me start testing the drives. Seems like there has always been something not quite right with it from the beginning but it's been tested by professionals twice and nothing out of the ordinary was found. However no one mentioned anything about drive read write speeds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Joe

For 4 days I have not been able to load tutorials for a reason I have not yet figured out. I get a Quicktime logo only and sometimes a question mark. I didn't have any problems for the first three weeks of membership at MacProVideo.com The only thing that is different now is that there was a Mac update last week approx. 4/20/2011. No one has bothered to answer my support questions yet and it's now been 5 days since the problem began and I have sent 7 emails to support since the problem. I am a pro member paying $25.00 a month. I have searched the forums and internet for solutions... it seems there are quite a few people that are having issues but no solutions that work and by the way Rounik... your answers are totally useless. Every solution that you have is to contact tech support, wow! Brilliant fix.

All these solutions have been tried and the issue still persists. However, today a few chapters of Core Logic 101 played with a few glitches until Chapter three and the problem came back with the Quicktime Logo. I was unable to reload and also what was watched previous wouldn't play either. So the problem just starts with no clue as to why on this end anyway.
