I tried both at version 2 but LR was much better. I've heard the Aperture 3 got a lot of much needed updates and now might be on par with LR. I'm now using LR3. Tough to compete when the whole photo suite is basically Adobe. LR, ACR, Bridge and PS makes for a solid workflow.

Sorry everyone but I don't think this is going to happen. I've already retailed some of the issues we've had in getting this tutorial out in a reasonable time frame. After talking this over, we are over 11 months past the release of Aperture 3 so the chances of recouping production costs on this tutorial before the next version comes out is slim. I can try to answer application questions but I switched over to Lightroom at version 2. If you posts some questions if this forum, I'm sure we can get you some answers or best practises. I think Rounik might be an Aperture user. We are sorry for getting everyone's hopes up.

Ya that sounds right. 600Kbps would be about 85KB/s. My connection is 1Mbps up and 15Mbps down which translates to a max of ~120KB/s up and ~1.8MB/s down. Note: ISP's list in bits (Kb and Mb) where as a standard internet apps list in Bytes (KB and MB). 1 Byte = 8 bits. So divide whatever your ISP says your connection is by 8 to get a better grade on the actual speed you should be getting. How many other wifi networks are in your area? If you're running on the same frequency as other wifi networks there can be conflicts. You could also do speed tests to see if it's your wifi card. [url]http://www.speedtest.net[/url]. Test on wifi then test directly connected to the router or modem.

Yea. Clean install is great every couple years. I copy my system to another drive, do a fresh install with all new apps then copy over the files I need as required. This saves me from having to go through tons of old files that I don't have the time to go through and delete. I usually keep the backup for around a year just to make sure I get everything off that I need then I delete it. Changing the drive bays shouldn't effect performance unless the buses are at different speeds which I don't think they are.
