I've downloaded the tutorials I chose but to my great suprise Logic core 8 showed up with many empty items...I would say that about 70% of the videos came up empty. Has anyone experienced this before? I wrote back but until now no response...what should I do??? Help! Christopher

Ok, This is basically what I want to be able to do but: - I want to be able to apply it to regions - I want to be able to expand the number of modes available. Can we keep on exploring this subject? Hi there, Does anyone have an idea how I can transpose a given region to another mode (from ionian to myxolydian for ex) automatically?

thank you for your explanation. What if I want to transpose to a mode with several sharps or flats, or even a hepta or dodeca (Five or Twelve notes) scale? Is there any way to build a environment device that can be saved and pulled out if needed? Any other ideas?

Thank you again for your response. My idea is to modify something that has already been recorded into another mode or scale. I was imagining a sort of pull down menu that would contain as many modes or scales as programed that I could choose from. The change would only affect the selected region. One of the goals would be to be able to compose polymodaly without all the hassle. Any ideas? Christopher

Well well, I am very happy to get some feedback! The latest idea (with Chord memorize, cable switcher, transformers) sounds like it's getting closer to what I had imagined. But how could it be realized? I am not familiar enough with cable switchers... Any other ideas about how to build this "Modalizer"that would be a very interesting composer's tool, wouldn't it? Well this helps in the sense that I now know my wish is reasonable. But what I had in mind was a tool that I could apply to already recorded midi data, to different tracks with different modal settings simultaneously. And why not imagine an unlimited amount of scales and modes ready to be selected on a menu list? This could lead to a real polymodal compositon device that would add much to Logic. But I don't have the know how to build such a device so I need feed back from you people! I was also wondering how I could get into the Scale remapper innards to understand it's setup? Ok, So up to point #4 everything is clear. When I go to the environment level and perform the changes you suggest, the sacle remapper changes to an environment window automatically. But can you be more specific on what changes to make in point #4? Thank you in advance, Christopher
