Hi there Bought a bunch of these excellent tutorials And I was about to watch the one on working with midi.Could not help notice when you play the tutorial. The is a Chapter 1 working with Midi and a Section one working with Midi Without sounding stupid,should there be additional sections to Chapter 1? As Hollins Jones seems to go straight into the first part of section 1,with reference to what he has already done I have used the update button as well Any help would be appreciated

Just a quick update I have realised that the tutorial working with Midi follows on from Reason fundementals ,he,he So all sorted out Must be a senior moment,ha,ha

Hi there Im a relative newcomer to Ableton Live 8 ,and lust watching Olavs excellent tutorial on making electronic dance music, and would like to ask On the session view,can you colour the tabs in,so you can identity which midi track is receiving from which drum track? Cheers

What I do is have a compressor on the master channel (reason for this,is it gives you a true impression of your final sound) Don't compress everything,and learn to pan, use the EQ8 , reverbs ,etc for space,learn to read your meters for levels Use those ears ,too he,he Make groups for say drums,put a compressor on that group (buss compression) .The ability to have parallel compression is great as there is a dry wet control now! Also the new Live 9 Glue compressor, is excellent for the master channel,as it to has a dry wet control too!! make use of the new EQ 8 too,and that superb graphical display. And have a look at Olav's mixing and mastering tutorials for great tips and techniques

Hi there I am completely new to Native Instruments. And recently decided to download the free Reaktor 5. player in order to use Razor I bought (as a Christmas/Birthday present) Do I just let the Razor install as normal .and Reaktor finds it? I am using the Reaktor 5, within Live, 9 Suite.So wondering how I launch Razor? appreciate the help and advice Cheers

Ok,just a quick edit I found the solution,.and got Razor working well,just by dragging Razor into Reaktor, After I read the manual.ha,ha

Hi there I was wondering if its possible to make some ,Maschine Mikro Tutorials? I have watched the series on Maschine so far,the contents etc, are fairly easy to transfer to over to Mikro,(software is the same of course) But tutorials specific to Mikro owners would be great!! Much easier to view a tutorial than read a PDF manual,ha,ha Cheers
