Ah. Ok. I recently picked up an iControl and was told that it had a 'Jog' wheel, not a 'scrub' wheel. Maybe its semantics. It works great though to move quickly through the project. Cheers. G.

Just a small side note, I hope you guys can find room for a 'next level' GB users tutorial. There is nothing out there that I can find that can be called 'advanced' or 'tips and tricks.' Things like explaining and demonstrating the use of ReWire, the use of AU's, the use of Compressor and EQ etc with some introductory comments on why to use them, ways of recording audio, setting up audio interfaces, midi controllers, work arounds of any sort. Even principles of setting up a small home studio using GB. I am sure there is a big long list of things that could come together for GB users, without them having to look at others more complicated DAWs. I am sure that vid's documenting how to get the most out of GB would be not only have educational value, but set people up with much better knowledge about when and why they would upgrade to something like Logic Express. No, you do not have to purchase it again. It is part of your original purchase. Just open ned, go to downloads and admin, click download and it will add the remaining vids (I think 29 of them) to your GB 09 101 tutorial. Cheers. G.

To answer my own question... Yes they are. The user interface between 08 and 09 are different, but the effects and their use is the same. So if you are new to GarageBand and recording, this is a worthwhile purchase as it is a great overview of GB's effects. Cheers. G.

Hi. In chapter 18 of the GB11 tutorial, Scott Freiman recommends a 3rd party product called Foreversave as an auto save feature. It appears that the free version he recommends and uses in his video is no longer available and has been replaced by a new paid version called Foreversave2. I have looked at the trial version of this software and it looks like you are either now not able to use it with GB, or there is some not so obvious way to set it up. I have emailed the developer for advice on use with GB but have not heard back. Is it possible for someone, maybe Scott himself to offer some advice on how to set it up properly for use in GB? Thanks.
