Back when desktop video editing was just a sparkle in every film editor's eye, Michael was busy creating Final Cut Pro. Learn Final Cut Pro from one of the original designers of this incredible piece of software!
Final Cut Studio is a suite of applications that all work together to create professional video productions. But to get the most out of Final Cut Studio, you need to know how the applications interact ... a process called "round tripping" where you send files back and forth between the applications.
This FREE tutorial uses the Tableland documentary about sustainable agriculture and the 100 mile diet as source footage to show you how Motion 4, Color 1.5, Soundtrack Pro 3, and DVD Studio Pro 4 integrate with Final Cut Pro 7 in a typical professional workflow.
You'll learn how to send footage to Motion 4 to create a custom "Lower 3rd" title treatment, how to open clips in Color 1.5 and perform primary color correction, and also how to use Soundtrack Pro 3 to reduce background noise and hiss in your video's audio streams.
This tutorial is produced by Michael Wohl and Martin Sitter. Michael is one of the original designers of Final Cut Pro, and to this day he is still on of Apple's lead courseware authors, writing the Apple Pro Training series books for Final Cut Pro (Advanced) Motion, and Color. Martin Sitter was formerly a lead courseware author and trainer for Apple, writing the Apple Pro Training Series books for Logic, DVD Studio Pro, and Soundtrack Pro. Today, Martin is the Founder and Publisher of nonlinear Educating Inc.
There's a lot of information on offer in this tutorial, but you don't need to watch the entire show. use the detailed menus and keyword search functions to quickly find topics of interest - that's the essence of Nonlinear Educating!
Lots of features covered from start to finish. Covers some good tips on video and audio editing that I've found quite helpful. Great for starting fresh with FinalCut Pro X.

Many Logic Pro users may end up getting FC Express for music video production. The bonus is that we still get to use SoundTrack Pro from Logic. The inclusion of Martin's SoundTrack Pro tutorial where he shows noise reduction of feature as well as script automation is well worth a *free* admission.
