Good tutorial for someone who hasn't ever done video editing. Could use a few updates, but most points were applicable to updated version.

This is the best explained, easy to understand and very easy follow tutorial. I also bought the iDVD tutorial (which encouraged me to buy iMovie) and its great too. I just love the way Francesco explains/teaches these tutorials especially for those of us who are new to iMac and are of that 'certain' age! Thank you Francesco so much.
(I would give you a make of a 100 if it was possible)

With a preamble that I am 73 years of age and have been working with iMovie 6 HD since its release I review iMovie 11 and 102 as follows .
1/ The reviewer talks and illustrates the many facets far to quickly forcing many replays to see and understand what is required .
2/ The details , at optimum display size ( I have a 27"HDMI screen ) are not that distinct and , with the speed of the presentation , are sometimes difficult to locate before the speaker moves off onto another topic .
3/The transition from iMovie 6 HD to 11 is not insignificant and I am therefore considering , as I have to learn a new "System", reverting to FC Pro 4 HD

Very clear and easy to follow. I almost didn't watch it because I read that it didn't cover the new audio / preview features of '11. Then I saw the "What's New in iMovie '11" course which does cover those. Put the two together and you have a complete picture of iMovie '11. Great stuff!

I thoroughly enjoy Francesco Schiavon's style of tutorial training and that is why I bought this one. I watched selected sections and I like what I've observed so far. I was also disappointed not to see anything about the Movie Trailers feature in the tutorial, which is why I upgraded to iMovie 11.

I have just started on this version of iMovie. So far, it looks like more of the very high quality work that Francesco has been doing. I hope he updates iDVD soon.

This is just sort of a copy of the iMovie 09 course.
There are NO instructions about the new audio possibilities, NO Trailers.
If you have the iMovie 09 course, this is just a waste of money.
I am VERY disappointed
