This gave me some insight to what Lion offers before actually downloading it. I like these tutorials by Francesco Schiavon, I have a number of them and would recommend these lesson to everyone who has yet to venture into Lion.

Even as a seasoned Mac user I found this informative. I can see how someone new to Mac or maybe someone who skipped Leopard/Snow Leopard could find the pace a bit brisk. Also I actually liked how the instructor didn't go into too many little details and covered some of the high points for most everyday users.

Fairly new to OS X here.
My MacBook Pro had Snow Leopard pre installed so upgrading to Lion was a major step. I'm loving Lion and this video has been a great help in understanding the structure and function of my Mac. Easy to watch an as always with macprovideos/tutorials very professionally presented.

As dany and Karen mentioned, a lot of new features was not mentioned. Out of 250 new features only about 68 are mentioned. But I will say what was mentioned was very well done.

This video is very useful and helpful to me. I find myself often lost when I upgrade to newer version of OS and it helps me to watch an expert explaining the new features. I am a long user of macprovideo. They saved me tons of hours of figuring out on my own...

Well done. The discussion and demonstrations were very informative. Core Lion as sues you are familiar with Snow Leopard, so that means you don't have to wade through lessons you are familiar with. It is short enough too keep the interest right up there.
A better system of items listened to would be helpful, for those of us who might forget where we were.

The tutorial assumes a higher level of computing ability than I have (in my 70s and self trained), therefore some of the tutorials were above my head. I also found that the trainer moved a bit fast through complicated things and moved the cursor too quickly for me to assimilate the knowledge imparted. I still learnt some things which were very valuable however and the lower grade I rated the course does not reflect the course itself but more it's relevance to me personally. Trying to cover widely differing levels of computing ability seems a bit ambitious for one course. A second, slower more simplified course on Lion would have been helpful. Not everyone who uses a Mac did IT at school!

Tutorial was a OK with the new functions of Lion if you are new to Apple, but not complete enough if you are moving from Snow Leopard. It did not discuss AirDrop, Filevault or many of the trackpad swiping and scrolling tips.

Loved the video, just what I needed to get started.
