In this video tutorial, composer and sound designer Scott Freiman goes in-depth into Native Instruments' powerful Kontakt 4 sampler to show you how to create and modify your own sounds. Building on the material taught in Native Instruments 105: Exploring Kontakt, Scott covers the numerous sound sculpting features of Kontakt.

Scott takes you from the multi (a collection of Kontakt instruments) all the way down to the sample level. In between, you will learn how to edit samples and create new instruments with complex effects and multiple modulation sources. Special attention will be given to Beat Machine and Time Machine, tools for creating complex rhythmic patterns or other interesting sample manipulations - a fantastic way of morphing between sounds.

For new and experienced Kontakt users alike, Advanced Kontakt will make you a sampling master!

Another excellent accompaniment for anyone interested in knowing all there is about Kontakt. It is a course on Kontakt 4, but there is so much information here to aid any Kontakt 5 user get more from Kontakt. I am a Kontakt 5 user, but I've found this extremely helpful.

This is one of the better tutorials I've come across over many products. The author goes into some depth on all fronts with out getting too far in the weeds...leaving that part up to you. However he does cover a lot and covers it well. Thumps up from me I will keep it in reference for future look ups.

I was very pleased with this course and its predecessor. It covered a large range of Kontakt features and common needs without being too simple or too complex.

Good in depth look at Kontakt 4's advanced features and how everything fits together. Most of this is useful for Kontakt 5 users, but there are a few changes, like Instrument Buses.

This is a great and very in depth guide of the advanced editing features in Kontakt. As someone who is new to software based synths and samplers this is all a bit overwhelming, but these videos are very easy to follow and the explanations are clear. Thank you for this awesome Kontakt class and please, scott Freiman, please continue making your awesomely helpful videos about Native Instruments products.
