Very good and through introductory tutorial for a complex tool like Photoshop. I highly recommend it to anybody learning Photoshop who does not have a more recent version like CS4 or CS5. I like the pace of the tutorial and Jim's calm voice. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that I was somewhat mislead by the "Mastering" word in its title. I wanted to learn more advanced techniques. It is one of the first tutorials I bought from macProVideo.com and did not realize at the time that 101 kind of suggests that is an introductory tutorial. I should have looked closer at the table of contents. One other thing that I noticed is that the duration of all the clips was always displayed as 00:00 at the beginning of the clip. This should've been fixed prior to tutorial's release. Going past these minor quibbles, I am looking forward to more advanced tutorials from Jim. Keep up the good work!

Thanks to 'Mastering Photoshop CS3', it certainly makes life a lot easier, and the cost was worth every penny.
Thank you,

This was as good as it gets, easy to follow and understand the new features in CS3.

This is a really great tutorial. Calm, patient, instruction; that's what makes a learning program fun & productive.

brought cs3 core 101 from what time I have had to look at it , it looks good to me. Trouble is I am running an earlier version of photoshop so I have to adjust for the screen layout looking different but so far so good.

I'm taking a community college (credit) course to learn photo digital manipulation. The instructor "runs" through the material so fast (probably because its so obvious to him) that I was ready to panic -- then I found the Photoshop 101. My frustration is that it was an expense over my college tuition, text, and program (CS3-Extended... CS3 basic no longer available).. My life, however, now feels a little more manageable since your tutorial. I can replay, stop, digest, and begin again. VERY helpful. Two points I'd like to address: One of the "tutorial"chapters does not consistently play...I think it is the gradient overview. Works sometimes and not others. Second, when the moderator says to "quickly fill a selection with the foreground color, press OPTION/DELETE and then Cmd-D"... Nothing happens when I press OPTION/DELETE. Is it the CS3 version? Other than that, I'm pleased to have P/S 101 --- even though I still can't seem to figure out Layers and do more than listen and explore away ! Thanks for asking. Tomiko
