Excellent course on a very useful device. Has basic tips for avoiding an overcrowded mix and goes into further detail of CV routing (from 602 - The Echo).

Do you wanna be a pro, or do you think you can just fake it? Even though 62 minutes might seem a little thin, you will love, love, love what G-dub has to say about this device. I remember reading a lot of whining (maybe even still now) about Reason 5 users not wanting to upgrade to 6 for three more "whimpy" devices (Echo, Alligator, and Pulveriser) - YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Those prop heads really thickened the capabilities of Reason - it's worth upgrading, fo' sho'. I never owned Reason 5 + Record - I read a lot of forum pages trying to decide on a DAW I could focus on. Reason was my choice - now my total devotion. I've already watched the Echo tutorial (amazing - cinematic at the beginning), and I'm about to head over to Alligator, and I feel confident about experimenting now. This is truly interesting information. G-dub actually incorporates mixing info too. As a newbie to digital music composition I'm terrified by the sheer amount of information out there - but G-dub ensures you know how to use the devices well with tips, tricks, ideas, etc about real-world stuff. Truly cool ideas. CV stuff is even more intimidating, but just pause, review, and relax - new worlds await! I was in heaven. I was hoping to swallow the whole thing once and never look back. NOPE! This is densely good - be ready to review and enjoy. This isn't for pretenders. So, so many ideas. I had to pause, write notes, replay, pause, and eventually favorite, knowing I'd have to extensively play with the device myself and come back later to see if my memory properly serves... Thanks, G-dub!

This review was actually easy to follow, and turned a monster of a device into an extremely easy to understand friend. I've ditched my Scream and Compressor combi's for this bad boy here. Honest to say, this tutorial is good if you love electronic music.
