Excellent course. Thomas does a great job in making a very dry subject entertaining as well as technically detailed. A very thorough and professional job!

Learn Sibelius in a practical way. I can not wait to take the Jazz band score. Thomas is breaking down in alogical way practical must have skills to master Sibelius. I did try other ways to learn Sibelius and I find this the most effective one ! in all of Thomas's courses he provides exercises and breaks things to a succession of simple tasks. I took notes of short cuts that I associated with Sonatina . soem of the segments I watched more than once to master them.
I feel confident that my knowledge and skill grows consistently . what I learn here I shall take and implement forever. Very powerful. Great teacher.

Fantastic course with some caveats. I did watch it twice, first following the directions and secondly taking notes of what I know I want to eventually memorize as common commands I will use regularly when scoring piano in particular.
The main issue I have with the course is first selecting a section and then issuing a command and not having that work as it did in the tutorials; for example, selecting a series of notes and then tapping the "s" key for a slur. Nothing. I tried repeatedly to make this work to no avail. Such commands must be selected FIRST and then click on the first note and then extend it either by dragging or repeatedly hitting the space bar. Similarly with hairpins, command-E for textual entries, pedaling marks, etc.
Apart from that problem with the order of selecting commands and then applying to a beginning note, this course is an absolute marvel as is the piece to be entered. Thomas Goss explains things with absolute clarity and with an appropriate amount of humor. I cross graded from Finale to Sibelius rather quickly after seeing how much better Sibelius is in almost every way.
Again, fantastic class. I very highly recommend this to anyone who dares to try scoring music with a computer.

Wow...Sibelius is getting pretty deep in here. Great course, covering many functions I hadn't seen before or hadn't quite figured out.

Video and voice of instructor is crystal clear. Mr Goss is a natural teacher. Wish I could do so well. This series is very effective. My students and I, have benefited from his tutorials

As with the other MacPro videos that I have purchased on various programs, this has also been above par. Thomas Goss does an exceptional job in structuring his lessons so that they are meaningful with logical progression to the next topic. Having lessons based on a project e.g. piano score makes the presentations practical as well.
Camera work during the lesson is nicely done as he focuses the student in on the part of the program he is working on. This and the addition of highlighting the screen with pointers and giving additional info pop up text boxes adds to the clarity of the lesson.
Even though I do not play jazz I have already preordered the next two installments as I know I will gleam many a pearl from Mr. Goss.

This is another great example of fantastic training. The other two videos by mr Goss were excellent as well. I am new to the sibelius system, so a beginner to expert series like this is a life saver. I worked with the bundled tutorials, but they pale in comparison to this this series. I look forward to the next instalment!
