If you can't answer the questions in the outline of this course then you need to watch this tutorial.
Covers the important foundations and definitions of video formats. A must for all beginners.

Great starter course for AV! I'm rather unfamiliar with video work so these tutorials were quite informative. I've always wondered why my camera looked all comby like that lol!

What is compression, interlace, pixel aspect ration...? Pretty obscur! This curse is lighting us from obscurity! Basics are basics, and you should knew them before managing video stuff!

Nice basics review. I watched this just to get my head around Aspect Ratio/Pixel Aspect Ratio again, but went ahead and watched all the videos and was glad I did because there were several tidbits making it worth the time.
