Like Joshua's other courses, this was very thorough. Live Loops really is quite deep indeed. Having worked in a linear fashion since Logic 8, it's going to take me a quite a while to get used to this new feature and way of working.

Nowhere in the course could I find any actual live looping, like you see people doing with a simple loop pedal. A lot of stop-and-start with the many prefabricated apple loops, which are of no interest to me.
The thing is, I'm certain that live looping can be done in Logic 10.5. I've accidentally kept a cell going and recorded over it a few times, but can't replicate that reliably.
No big deal, it's not something I want to do. Looping is a way to create some really repetitive, annoying music. (in my opinion.)
But Ableton doesn't have anything to worry about, so far.

I had not been an Ableton user, so I never really understood the idea of the grid layout for music. This has gotten me rethinking ways to create and structure songs, and it definitely has gotten me excited about using Live Loops.
