Logic Pro offers an amazing array of tools to create and sculpt sound. In these 21 video tutorials trainer Joshua Carney explores some unusual sound design concepts guaranteed to bring a new world of sonic heaven to you productions.
Apple's Logic Pro is an amazing DAW for sound designers, as you're about to find out in these tutorials. Like a sculptor carves a statue from a block of clay, the sound designer creates unique sounds and soundscapes by completely transforming a sample or an oscillator beyond recognition. And contrary to what many people think, the art of sound design is not just for film work... it's everywhere these days: music production, video games, and live performances.
Joshua starts by explaining and demonstrating the differences between the different synthesis method, from subtractive, additive and wavetable oscillator-based synthesis to sampling and granular synthesis. He then explains synthesis modulation, before diving deep into the fun stuff: sound creation! You discover various ways to create unique ambient sounds, morphing soundscapes and rhythms. You learn unusual sidechaining techniques, how to create epic action drums and lo-fi beats, how to stack multi-textured instruments and a lot more...
So join Joshua Carney in this course as he shares his secret sound design techniques. Get ready to enhance your audio and music productions, and take your art of sound design to a new level!
I’m halfway through this course and it’s already the best one I’ve seen in this site! Theres so much creative potential, I’ve got lots of new ideas to try already

I was looking for a deep dive into the Alchemy synth, and I found this course. While it wasn't (originally) exactly what I went looking for, this course is super helpful at delivering concise tips and tricks, including Alchemy, Sampler, etc. It definitely provided me with a lot of jumping of points for sound design and synthesis in Logic Pro. I do recommend!

There is a variety of fantastic ideas in this course for creating really interesting sounds, and each idea is explained really well. I was worried before doing this course that I would struggle to follow it, but I found it was actually just the opposite. I've come away from the course with an appreciation of how to use a variety of Logic's synth instruments - ES2, Quick Sampler, Sampler, Autosampler, Alchemy, EVOC20 - for unorthodox purposes.
One disclaimer I should probably mention is that I'd already done quite a few Logic courses before coming to this one, so I can't really judge how easy it would be to follow for someone new to DAWs. But for someone such as myself who has already studied things like sidechain compression or creating layered instruments with track stacks, another bonus of this course is the opportunity to review and consolidate such things.
One more thing worth adding: I've had several questions while completing the course, and Josh has responded to each of them :-)
